Families having lunch on the sun soaked lawn, kids racing to find a treat, these things remind us of simpler times; Times before viruses, water boiling, and grocery shortages. So why not take and day and come back to this life? First Baptist Church Fairfield is hosting a BACK TO LIFE Easter celebration event, on Sunday April 4th.

“Contagions have made our daily lives difficult over the last year. We do not take your safety lightly, but we believe fellowship is essential. So, if you do not have a church family to celebrate Easter with, we want you to come celebrate with us,” said Pastor Jeffrey Stachmus.

The celebration event begins at 9:30am, with small group studies for every age group. Doors (of the auditorium) open at 10:30 am for an Easter Hymn sing-a-long. Then at 10:45am, our Back to Life Celebration begins, which includes lively music, dramatic performances, and personal testimonies. But don’t leave when that’s over, because you’ll want to stay for the after party!

We’ll follow up our services with a “day on the church grounds” including a picnic lunch, egg hunts for the kids, live music, and prizes! You’ll want to bring your picnic blanket, lawn chair, and card tables and claim your spot on the lawn! We also encourage you to bring your favorite dish to share. Our kitchen team will be providing hotdogs, chips, and a drink, as well as other festival style treats, but the rest is potluck so bring your best dish – and make enough to share!

If you are tired of living a closed off, isolated life, it’s time to come home to First Baptist Church Fairfield, where “It’s All About Relationships,” and come Back to Life at our Easter Sunday event. We are located at the intersections of S. Mount and Reunion Street(s) in Fairfield, just South of the Freestone Country Courthouse.
