FULLY VACCINATED

As of Monday, August 9th, 27.1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to at least 15.4 million Texans.

Almost 54% of people 12 years or older are now fully vaccinated in our state. This number comprises just over 75% of Texans as 65 or older.

Current scientific evidence indicates that available vaccines are effective at protecting people from severe illness caused by these the new variants of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Here are the percentages of fully vaccinated individuals in local counties:

COVID-19 CASES

Cases continue to rise locally, as multiple variants have been documented in Texas and the United States that may spread more easily or cause more serious illness.
