On March 23, 2026, Fairfield PD Officer Joseph Tinsley responded to multiple Calls for Service regarding reports of vehicles being broken into within the Thousand Oaks District.

Officers were provided with a description of a suspect believed to be responsible for several incidents occurring throughout the night.

While actively patrolling the area in search of the suspect, Officer Tinsley observed an individual matching the provided description at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The individual was seen walking along Robindale Lane. Upon contact, Officer Tinsley identified the subject as Quincy Robinson.

During the encounter, Robinson was given multiple lawful commands, including instructions to keep his hands visible to the officer, to which Robinson failed to comply with.

This required Officer Tinsley to detain Robinson and request additional assistance from Deputy Dallas McGee.

During the detainment, officers discovered a 9mm firearm concealed in Robinson’s waistband. The firearm was later identified as an item reported stolen by a resident within the Thousand Oaks Addition.

Robinson was subsequently taken into custody without further incident for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and later charged with Burglary of a Vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with additional information related to these incidents is encouraged to contact the local authorities.
