Dear Editor,
I was visiting with a person at a gas station last week when the price of fuel became the topic of our conversation.
Jo, kindly I said, we better vote right not left in November.
This person said,” Oh no my parents and grandparents were democrats and I’m a democrat too. Not going to change now.”
I was the same way until someone showed me in the Bible Proverbs 6:16 Seven things God hates, one of them being the shedding of innocent blood. What’s more innocent than a baby in its mother’s womb.
Then another scripture was shown to me, Proverbs 29:24 If you partner with a thief, you hate your own soul, so if you partner with a politician who makes it lawful to shed the blood of innocent babies, just where does that leave your soul?
So, when it’s your turn to stand before God and He asks you why did you partner yourself to the ones who shed my children’s blood, what are you going to say? God, I am a Democrat?
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. But there’s hope Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witnesses against you this day, that I have set before your life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.
Finally, II Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called be My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
