March rainfall came in well below normal with only 3.34 inches. Normal March rainfall is 4.96 inches. We had only four days with measureable rainfall with a greatest one-day total of 2.42 inches on March 21 with some hail.

Rainfall total for the year stands at 8.15 inches. Our normal rainfall through March is 11.53 inches.

For the record, our wettest March was 9.54 inches of rain in 2012. Our driest March was 0.25 inch in 2011 which was also our record driest year.

Temperature-wise, we had a fairly wide range of temperatures with a low of 35 degrees on March 13 and a high of 87 degrees on March 27.

Looking ahead to April: Normal rainfall for April is 3.72 inches. Our record wettest April was 11.03 inches of rain in 2019. Our record driest April was 0.61 inch in 2001.

April temperatures normally range from lows in the 50’s and 60’s to highs in the 80’s and low 90’s.

Normal rainfall data used was derived from average rainfall over the 20-period from 2001 through 2020.
