Enrollment at Fairfield ISD remains steady at 1,675 students, who are enjoying a break from their studies during Spring Break week, March 14-18, 2022.

This report was given to FISD School Trustees during their March 8th meeting.

After Principal Sonya Gibson recognized staff and students at FHS, and the consent agenda was approved, Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams led a discussion of possible future renovations to the High School baseball and softball fields.

Next, board voted to authorize Dr. Adams to demo the old radio tower north of the high school campus.

Then, a quote from Great Minds for a supplemental reading curriculum was approved for use by Fairfield Elementary and 3rd Grade students.

Also approved was an Interlocal Agreement with the TASB Risk Management Fund, as well as a listing agreement with Robinson Real Estate.

Dr. Adams also reported on an audit by TEA on the school district’s SPED and Dyslexia programs. No issues were found, and no action was required by the board.

Following a closed, executive session, professional contracts were approved for campus teachers, nurses and counselors, as well as for the Bi-County Co-Op.

Fairfield ISD School Board meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
