Texas State Parks, Fairfield Lake included, will be having free entrance for everyone on Saturday, November 8, 2020, in honor of Veterans Day.

Occupancy rules will be in place, so it is highly advised to have a reservation for the day.

Camping fees and all other fees still apply for the day.

Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) ask that people follow three simple rules to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The rules are easy to follow as well:

–Stay Close to Home
–Stay home if you feel sick
–Wear a mask
–Carry sanitizer
–Keep groups under ten people, unless from same household
–Be socially distanced at least six feet from other groups

Basically, the same rules that have become the mantra of 2020.
Leaf colors are starting to change in the trees with the maple, oak, sweetgum, elm and hickory trees showcasing a gorgeous fall display of colors.
