Teague High School is making one major, and exciting change this year that can be a fun adjustment for the students.
Block Scheduling.
What is that might be what you are thinking right now, fair thought too. Many have never heard of block scheduling.
Simply put, it is a school system with classes that alternate days, and are typically longer.
Teague HS plans to keep first period and either period the same as always, students will attend daily.
The difference is with second through seventh periods.
On every Monday and Wednesday, students will attend second, third and fourth periods for a hour and a half each.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are for fifth, sixth, and seventh period, also for a hour and a half long each.
Then Fridays will alternate between which schedule you follow, one week you attend second, third and fourth, and next week it flips to fifth, sixth and seventh.
Free periods are possible with this schedule, but if you have, say seventh period free, it is only free on the days that are marked for that class.
Best part though, school will let out at 2:55 p.m.
One other important note about classes is which classes cannot be taken virtually:
