DOWNTOWN FAÇADE changes were noticed in Fairfield last week as roof repairs were made, and siding added, to the building occupied by Legacy Tile & Flooring just east of the courthouse square.
The new siding covers a portion of the colorful “Spirited” mural, designed by Cuban-American painter, Rolando Diaz.
The abstract outdoor art was painted in 2015 by Freestone County art students and members of Trinity Star Arts Council.
According to City Administrator Nate Smith, a building permit was obtained for the work, adding that the building is privately owned.
