What a glorious day! It was warm, the sun was shining, the wind was a little calmer, and my petunias, my petunias that I got from my dear Aunt about 25 years ago are blooming! The white daffodils on the front are blooming and we have never noticed them before so not sure if this is a first or not. Also, the large lily plant down on the front is up and should bloom shortly. I have worried about it for fear the hogs or cows would eat the plant and I would not have it any more. I really need to bring all of them up to the house and replant. Then all I would have to worry about is keeping the Beagles out of them and from digging them up.
The grass in the yard has grown mightily and will be cut this week. Butterflies are floating through the air and provide a welcome sight, especially the Monarchs. I am also getting ready to hang my Hummingbird feeders. Can hardly wait to see those beautiful little birds. We also have some of the cutest little calves being born. They are so cute to watch as they explore their new world.
The trees are looking so pretty in their new Spring color of light green. It is always a welcome sight to see them when they first bud out. Each day seems to bring more beauty to the trees. The only thing that is a downer for Spring is Spring Cleaning! Ugh! But also, a necessary thing and when it is over everything seems as clean and fresh as Spring. So, the Red Oak Ranch is breathlessly awaiting Spring!
