Wortham played in the Fairfield Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, August 10th.
Wortham lost to Groesbeck in two sets 21-25, 12-25. The Wortham Lady Bulldogs came back and beat Rice and Mexia and won the Silver Consolation. Wortham beat Rice 25-23 and 25-13 and Mexia 25-17, 25-17.
Leading the Lady Bulldogs was Rylee Goolsby with 34 kills and 10 blocks.
Samantha Wright had 6 kills, and 23 digs.
Jessica Black had 13 kills, 4 digs, and 2 blocks.
Skylar Phillips had 5 kills, 15 digs and one block.
Setter Reagan Stuver had 48 assists and 12 digs.
Libero Megan Whaley lead in serve receive and had 36 digs.
Brynn Bowden had 1 kill and 22 digs.
Samantha Lee had 2 kills and one dig.
Wortham will travel to Valley Mills Tuesday.
