The Annual Christmas Breakfast for First Responders & Law Enforcement, Christmas Program, and Toy Giveaway at True Vine DOXA Church of Fairfield was held Sunday morning, December 23rd.
After a hardy breakfast was served, church members and guests gathered in the sanctuary for the much anticipated Christmas Program.
Fairfield Councilman Randy Johnson opened the program with a prayer, and Constable Pam Barnes gave the scripture.
Mr. Dexter Barnes, chairman for the event, presented flowers and a plaque of recognition to employees of Freestone Credit Union. Accepting on behalf of the employees were President DeAnne Harris (center) and Collection Officer (Teague Branch) Jennifer Dunn. Each year, for the past eight years, employees of both bank branches have donated money to the cause.
Receiving special blessing bags for Christmas this year was Brandy Clegg and her three-year-old son Christopher.
Three special kids received new bicycles, courtesy of Freestone County Clerk, Linda Jarvis.
All children present at the event received toys as well.
Blankets were also provided to members of the congregation, donated by River of Life Church of Fairfield.
Major sponsors for this year’s event include Broken Crayon Restoration Life Center, True Vine DOXA Church, Rick Manning of Crocker Crane, NRG, and Freestone Credit Union.
“Our goal is to have the community come together to be a blessing to everyone while showing the Love of Christ!,” says Mr. Barnes. “We thank each and every person who helped make this year a success.”
