Two young parents plead not guilty to two counts each of Abandonment/Endangerment of a Child Imminent Danger (Felony 2) at their arraignments on November 27, 2018.
The pair was indicted during the October Grand Jury Session.
Savannah Lee-May Perdue, 20, and Jeffrey Eugene Spearman, Jr., 20, were arrested on Saturday, March 31, 2018 after Fairfield Police Department was dispatched to a home on DeJay Street where they found a 5 month old and 16 month old left alone.
According to the officer’s affidavit, Fairfield PD arrived on scene and discovered the 5 month old strapped in an infant carrier on a rocking chair and the 16 month old on the floor in the corner of a bedroom.
It was reported that the parents took the children to the residence on Friday afternoon, March 30th and that this was the last time the children were under supervision.
Pre-trial is scheduled for January 10, 2019 with a trial date set for March 4, 2019.
