Get ready for the best rodeo in town as Teague’s 4th of July UPRA-CPRA Rodeo kicks off this week!

In its 89th year, the Teague 4th of July Rodeo will be held June 28, 29 & 30, 2018 at the Teague Rodeo Arena. The action starts at 8:00 p.m. nightly.

The three-day event will officially kick off with a Rodeo Parade down Main Street on Thursday, June 28. Line up begins at 5:30 p.m.; parade to start at 6:00 p.m.

Anyone wanting to be in the parade may line up at the west end of Main Street in Teague. Horses and horse drawn entries need to line up on the south side of Main, and motorized entries line up on the north side.

Best Dressed Cowboy and Best Dressed Cowgirl will be featured in the Parade.

Forms may be picked up before the parade, for parents wishing to enter their child in the contest. Kids must be dressed in western attire, and must be able to ride by themselves on horseback (horse may be on a lead rope).

Children will be judged before the parade and will be featured in the opening of the rodeo.
This year’s rodeo has $7,600 in added money.

Events include: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, Calf Roping, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Ladies Breakaway, Teague Roping, and Wild Cow Milking.

Gist Buckles will be given to winners in each event.

Trailer hook-ups will be available from the City of Teague for $20 per night.
