A Wildlife Workshop will be offered at the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area on June 1, 2018.

Whether you own your own property or lease a property for hunting, being able to manage the available habitat is a key to successful wildlife management.

This workshop will focus on putting several different tools in your toolbox in regards to wildlife and habitat management.

Program topics include:
–Deer Management
–Identifying Predation from Carcasses
–Non-Game Wildlife Management
–Livestock Management
–Prescribed Burning
–Restoration of Native Grasses and Forbs
–Axe and Fire: Managing Post-Oak Savannah Woodlands
–Tour Gus Engeling WMA

Registration is $30; 1 IPM CEU is offered with this course.

Workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Lunch will be provided.
