Dale Willard, 88, of North Richland Hills, TX, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in North Richland Hills.  Funeral services was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating.  Interment with military honors followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Willard was born December 1, 1929 in Freestone County to parents Colon Jackson and Pearl Donaldson Willard.

He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and attended Navarro Junior College.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he earned the Korean Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Badge and three battle stars.

Mr. Willard married Marjorie Rouse on June 24, 1955 and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2017.  He was the longtime owner and operator of Dale’s Used Cars in Ft. Worth, Texas.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Culp.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Tony Willard; Todd Willard and wife Melinda all of North Richland Hills; a sister, LouNel Stroud of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Courtney Hamedi and husband Rick of Weatherford, TX; Kirstyn McDowell of Frost, TX; Ryan Griffin and wife Bailey, Blake Griffin, Courtney Griffin; great-grandchildren, Cody Hamedi, Skyler Hamedi, Colin Hamedi, Parker McDowell, Kayden McDowell, Ryder Griffin, Ramsey Griffin.
