A Limestone County man has died of an apparent home invasion turned shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
The deceased, Dequincy Demond Dunn, a resident of the home, was found alive, suffering from a gunshot wound when Limestone County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call at 3477 North FM 39 in Mexia around 5:15 a.m. that morning.
Dunn was transported to Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia where he later died.
Judge Ray Jones has ordered an autopsy; and the body was taken to Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Department is not releasing any other details at this time, as it is an ongoing investigation.
