CUERO – The 35TH Annual All Breeds Bull and Female Sale, to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Cuero Livestock Commission, has drawn approximately 30 bulls and 200 females.
The sale is sponsored by the DeWitt County Purebred Breeders Association and the DeWitt County Beef and Forage Committee.
Breeds of bulls to be offered include: Angus, Charolais, Brangus, Beefmaster, Hereford, Brahman, SimAngus and Polled Hereford.
The female sale will feature bred, pairs, and open heifers of F-1 Braford (many Tiger Stripes), Brangus, Brahman, Black Baldy, Brangus Baldy, Red Baldy, Charolais Cross and Other Crossbreds. Many of these heifers are 4-H/FFA Commercial Heifer prospects.
Bulls will sell first, followed immediately by the females. The bulls will be between 15 and 34 months of age. All bulls must have been Brucellosis calfhood vaccinated and will have a complete Breeding Soundness Examination (BSE) conducted by a licensed veterinarian, within 30 days prior to the sale. Bulls will also meet all Trichomoniasis requirements as prescribed by the Texas Animal Health Commission.
Females will be between 12 and 48 months of age. All females must have been Brucellosis calfhood vaccinated and palpated within 30 days prior to the sale.
