An accident on Interstate 45 in the northbound lane in the Dew, Texas area backed traffic up for at least two hours this past Tuesday, November 26th, 2019, the ones involved are currently in an auto accident clinic.
Texas DPS Trooper Sergeant Ryan Howard reported that while heading north a Freightliner 18-wheeler pulled onto the improved shoulder, and then struck a different 18-wheeler that was parked.
The impact caused debris to be scattered onto the Interstate, Howard explained.
Howard included that a Lexus car and a Hyundai car both struck the debris while heading Northbound.
According to Howard, the driver of the parked 18-wheeler was transported to Freestone County Medical Center to be treated for a possible injury.
No other injuries were reported at the time of Howard’s report.
Texas DPS responded to the scene, and the investigation is still ongoing according to Howard.
