The 10th annual Jay Alderman Memorial Scholarship 42 Tournament and bake sale fund raiser was held on April 29th at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center.  We are so appreciative of everyone who came to help make this scholarship possible.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to each one who played in the 42 tournament, for each one giving a cash donation, and for all the delicious baked goods provided and purchased for the bake sale.  We enjoyed all who came by for a visit and shared a story or two.  We also want to thank First Baptist Church for the use of the FLC for this event.

Congratulations to this year’s first place team, David and Jeremy Little. (Left)

They received High Ho silver belt buckles.  Congratulations to this year’s second place team, Wayne Smith and Mark Wiles.  They received customized ivory domino sets.

This year, three graduating Teague High School seniors will each receive a $2,000.00 scholarship.

Many special people contribute and work in some way to make this event possible.  We are grateful to and offer our most humble thanks to Erick Gilbert, Delores Gilbert, Jimmy Hodge, Laine Kormos, Justin Lee, Jeremy Little, Rosa Salgado, Veronica Salgado, Wayne Smith, Walt Stacks, Will Steen, Corey Turner, Renae Walker, and Wesley Walker.

We are blessed many times over by the devotion of Jay’s friends in their endeavor to honor him through the giving of this memorial scholarship.
