Gooseneck trailers were the star of the 2023 Ag Mechanics Show, as Fairfield FFA took Grand Champion for their 36-foot entry, and Teague FFA earned Reserve Champion for their 24-foot exhibit.

Held Monday, June 12th, the Freestone County show put a spotlight on the skills of local FFA and 4-H Club members.

Also awarded the Senior Showmanship Champion award, the overall Grand Champion team includes Fairfield FFA members: Blake Phillips, Adan Espinoza, River Bonds, Lillian Poole, Conner Petty and Cale Myers.

The overall Reserve Champion team includes Teague FFA members: Zain Fitzgerald, Daniel Beldin, James Barrentine, and Garrett Barkouskie. These young men earned the Senior Showmanship Reserve Award, as well.

Junior Showmanship Champion award was presented to Keatyn Ovalle of Freestone County 4-H with his metal trough entry.

Junior Showmanship Reserve award was given to Alex Haigler of Fairfield 4-H who entered a pair of corn hole boards.
