Wreath Ceremonies for Veterans Set for Dec. 17th at Driver Cemetery in Freestone County

The Natation Wreaths Across America Day is Saturday, December 17, 2022.

The Jonathan Hardin Chapter NSDAR is hosting two ceremonies this year to honor veterans who have passed on.

The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at LaSalle Cemetery in Limestone County and 2:00 p.m. at Driver Cemetery in Freestone County.

Thanks to the community support, all Veterans buried at Driver and LaSalle Cemeteries will be remembered with a wreath laid on their grave site.

This includes 82 graves in Freestone County and 42 in Limestone County.

Volunteers are needed to lay wreaths following the ceremony.

If anyone is interested in preparing for, participating in, or cleaning up after the event, we welcome you.

One of the WAA’s mission is to teach our children about the sacrifices made for our freedoms. We want to include any youth that are interested in participating.
