“Woven Together in Unity,” a Women’s World Day of Prayer Brunch, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Piper Great Hall of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. Featured speaker and guest of honor will be Carolyn Porterfield, former Missionary Journeyman in Japan and retiring Missional Lifestyle Leader for Texas Woman’s Missionary Union.
The event is sponsored by WMU/Women’s Ministries of Waco Regional Baptist Association and co-sponsored by Baylor’s Truett Seminary and Keston Center for Religion, Politics and Society.
A Bible study and devotional will be led by Cheryl Segura Gochis, Baylor’s vice president of human resources who received a Woman’s Missionary Union scholarship as an undergraduate. Women involved in Waco’s Good Neighbor House will lead the prayer experience. Worship music will be provided by Joslyn Henderson, with Jan Cason accompanying on piano. Lexi English, First Lady of Greater Bosqueville Baptist Church, will provide the Scripture focus.
