December was a busy month for the Police department. Ten total arrests were made, with several being felony drug charges. Below are just a few.
Saturday – 12/7/2024
Officer McAlister made a traffic stop in Wortham. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and over 3 grams of Methamphetamine were located.
Wednesday – 12/18/2024
Officer Miers made a Traffic Stop in Wortham. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and over an ounce of Marijuana, approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine, and 2 pistols were located.
Saturday – 12/28/2024
Officer Mason Made a traffic stop in Wortham. During a probable cause search of the vehicle a large quantity of marijuana was located as well as several firearms.
Monday – 12/30/2024
Officer Miers stopped a vehicle on I45 in Streetman. The vehicle displayed a fictitious paper tag. A routine check of the VIN number revealed the vehicle was recently reported stolen.
