February Report: The Police Department made 15 arrests in February. Some of the arrests are listed below:

2/5/2025
Officer Miers received a report of a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and after further investigation was arrested for fail to ID fugitive intent to give false information, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine.

2/6/2025
Officer Miers Stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was found to have multiple felony theft warrants out of Waco and McLennon County.

2/7/2025
Cpl. McAlister stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was arrested for possession of Cocaine and Meth.

2/9/2025
Interim Chief Craig responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the lane of traffic. The driver was arrested for DWI.

2/10/2025
Officer Miers and Cpl. Daniel responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway on MLK. The driver was arrested for DWI.

2/11/2025
Officer Miers responded to a reported disturbance. One subject was arrested for Assault family violence.

2/13/2025
Cpl. Daniel received information of a subject living in Wortham that is required to register as a sex offender. After further investigation, a warrant was obtained, and the subject was arrested for fail to register as a sex offender.

2/14/2025
Officer Miers was flagged down by a citizen that reported a suspicious vehicle was parked on 27. Officer Miers and Interim Chief Craig made contact with the driver and found the subject to be wanted out of Bellmead for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful restraint.

2/16/2025
Officer Miers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the driver to be on federal parole for weapons violations and in possession of a handgun which was a violation of his parole.

2/19/2025
Officer Miers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop, the driver was asked to step out of the vehicle. The driver was found to be in possession of meth and other drug paraphernalia. While the driver was being arrested the passenger took off on foot. A search of the area by several officers from Wortham PD, DPS, and FCSO was conducted, but the subject was not located. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

2/24/2025
Officer McAlister stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After a probable-cause search of the vehicle both occupants were arrested for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance PG 2 THC.
