Wortham ISD Welcomes Students, Teachers and Fans with ‘Back to School’ Bash

(at top):  New teachers at Wortham ISD were introduced by Superintendent Melissa Bosley during the August 5th ‘Back to School’ Bash. They include (in no particular order):  Chuck Kalal – HS History, Corey Price – HS History / Coach, Brandon Coker – MS History / Coach, Stephanie Calame – MS Science, Mariah Boling – Kindergarten, Emily Boyd – PE / Coach, Amber Ramirez – Elementary Para, Larissa Jones – MS Para, Kayla Brouillette – ES Para, Avis Kimbeni – ES Para, Brandy Hughes – MS Para, Brandy Hughes – HS Para, and Tanner Bean – HS Para.  

Wortham students and Bulldog sports fans got together last week for the annual ‘Back to School’ Bash at the WISD gym.

Fall athletes were introduced, along with new teachers and staff.

The Bulldog Band and Wortham Cheer Squad got the crowd pumped up, while the high school’s mascot posed for pictures from the paparazzi.

First day of school for students began Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Volleyball teams enjoy their first game on Tuesday, and the football team will have their first scrimmage at home against Italy.
