It’s Homecoming week at Wortham, with activities for students and alumni.
Wortham Bulldogs will celebrate their Homecoming game this Friday, October 18, 2024, and will face off with Meridian Inside the Walls. Kick off is at 7:00 p.m.
During the week, high school students will be able to dress up to show off their school spirit.
-Monday: Merica Monday – Have pride in what you do. Be proud to be drug free.
-Tuesday: College & Career Day – Don’t be a dumdum! Chase your dreams and accomplish your goals!
-Wednesday: Pajama Day – Don’t be lazy, stay strong, and stay drug free!
-Thursday: Color War – Seniors wear pink, Juniors wear green, Sophomores wear red, and Freshmen wear yellow. Join the war on drugs and say NO!
-Friday: Bulldog Spirit – Show your pride for the Bulldogs by staying drug free!
The homecoming bonfire will be held on Wednesday, the 16th, beginning about 7:30 p.m.
A community pep rally will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in downtown Wortham.
At 6:30 p.m., WHS will present the Homecoming court and crown it’s King and Queen, followed by the game at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. & Miss WHS will be presented during halftime.
Post-game, there will be an Ex-Student Gathering at the Chamber of Commerce Building.
On Saturday, Saturday, October 19th 10:00 a.m. will be a Business Meeting for Ex-Students at the Administration Building (Old Cafeteria/Auditorium). A new, shortened format will include recognitions, election of 2024 Ex-Student’s Queen and Employee of Honor.
This year’s Queen’s Coffee is being hosted by Queen Marsha McLelland Calame, Class of 1974. All are welcome to enjoy refreshments and visit with old friends and family.
