Wortham ISD officials have informed students, parents and teachers that graduation, originally set for this Saturday, will be postponed.
This action is being taken as WISD Superintendent David Allen learned today, June 4, 2020, that some of Wortham’s seniors were exposed to a staff member who may test positive for COVID-19 following a direct exposure to another positive case.
“We have no confirmation of a confirmed case in WISD at this time,” reads a notice posted by Wortham High School on social media.
The postponement of graduation ceremonies is being done out of an abundance of caution.
Wortham High School commencement is tentatively being rescheduled to June 26th at 8:00 p.m
