Friday night, August 30, the following Wortham Varsity Band members were honored during their half time show when the Wortham Bulldogs played the Itasca Wampuscats.
Breckyn Waggener was awarded band member of the week, and the trumpet section was the section of the week.
The trumpet members are: Grecia Juarez, Aiden Molina, Tristen Schamp, Jackson Tacker, and Kendon Busby.
This past Friday night, September 6, the following Wortham Varsity Band members were honored during their half time show when the Wortham Bulldogs played the First Baptist Academy Saints.
Reese Reichert (left) was awarded band member of the week, and the percussion section, led by drum line captain Ben Havens, was the section of the week.
The percussion members (at top) are: Michael Chasteen, Orion Hart, Ben Havens, Jacob Heller, Cody Jones, Lance Jones, Jeremy Rogers, Summer Settlemyer, and Luke Winters.
The Bulldog Band will be performing this Friday night during the half time performance when the football boys play Bartlett. The Wortham High School band is under the direction of Mr. Kevin Russel.
