Wortham High School’s Health Careers Academy held their Pinning Ceremony and Ambulance Dedication on Wednesday evening, May 15, 2024.
Superintendent Melissa Bosley welcomed guests to the ceremony, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Cash Perez, and invocation by Justin Atkins, opening remarks by Principal David Hayes, and an address by Instructor Teresa McLaughlin.
Grecia Juarez performed the HOSA Officer Installation and Alumni Brenna Lewis and Jason Evans were recognized.
Next the Pinning Ceremony was led by AmyJo Miller, Acad. Adv., CTE Coor., followed by special awards presented by Instructor Teresa McLaughlin.
Students Hunter Arnold and Nicholas Shelton spoke to the crowed, followed by the benediction and ambulance dedication by Pastor Justin Colquette.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) graduates include Wortham seniors: Hunter Arnold, Justice Atkins, Dakota Butler, Sierra Davis, Anthony Fortoul, and William Cash Perez.
Completing the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy course are Wortham juniors: Kaylee Calame, Case Samford, and Nicholas Shelton.
