Wortham High School Graduate with the Class of 2016, Jordan Lansford, is in his second year playing for the Galveston Whitecaps.
The Whitecaps recently played the #1 ranked team, San Jacinto, in a 3-game series and won two of the three games.
The first game, played at San Jacinto, the Whitecaps lost 3-2.
They won the next two games, played at Galveston.
Jordan pitched the first game and went 3 up, 3 down, but the Whitecaps couldn’t get their bats going the last inning.
The next evening, he came in as relief in game two, inheriting a runner. He gave up two hits, but allowed no runs. He pitched an inning and 2/3 for the save.
Whitecaps won game 3 with a 2-0 final.
