There is plenty to do this weekend in Fairfield for those who wish to get out and about for some fun and fellowship.
Friday Night Cruise
Make plans to join the Friday Night Cruise on September 8th as Fairfield kicks off the weekend of their 20th Annual Show of Wheels event.
Hosted by Bayless NAPA Auto Parts of Fairfield, vintage car enthusiasts will gather at 7:00 p.m. for hotdogs and refreshments before taking a cruise through the streets of Fairfield.
Show of Wheels
The 20th Annual Show of Wheels will roar into town on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles and more will be on display at the courthouse square in downtown Fairfield, Texas.
The Bi-Stone Tractor Club will also be showing off vintage tractors.
There will be food, fun and plenty of shade.
Over $1,000 in cash prizes, trophies and plaques for those entering their vintage beauties.
There will be over 30 judged classes, with awards in multiple categories.
Special trophies include Best of Show, People’s Choice, Most Unusual, and Best Club Participation.
Citywide Garage Sale
The annual Fairfield Citywide Garage Sale is being held on Saturday, September 9th.

Market Days
A special Market Days event will be held in conjunction with the annual Citywide Garage Sale and the Coon Hunt.
Indoor and Outdoor shopping is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the historic W.L. Moody Reunion Grounds.
Vendors will be open September 8-10, 2017.
Each month, Market Days vendors offer such things as Arts & Crafts, Jewelry, Bling, Clothing, Food, Furniture, Antiques, Fresh Produce, Tools, Toys and more.
Market Days will open Friday, July 21st with limited vendors from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. All vendors will be open for business on Saturday, July 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Splash Day
Splash Day will be held Saturday at the W.L. Moody Reunion Grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in conjunction with Market Days.
This FREE event will have water elements for kids of all ages.

–Tropical Double Lane Slip & Slide for the older kids
–The Big Kahuna slide for kids and adults

American Heritage Coon Hunt & Bench Show
The 26th American Heritage Coon Hunt and Bench Show will be held September 8th and 9th at the Freestone County Fairgrounds; and is sponsored by the Texas State Coonhunters Association, Inc.
The Overall American Heritage Bench Show winner will be taken from winners of both Friday and Saturday Shows.
The Overall American Heritage Nite Hunt winner will be a Double Cast Winner. If there is no double cast winner, single highest score either night.
On Friday, September 8, 2017, the Poor Boy Bench Show is $10 and entry deadline is 4:00 p.m. and the Nite Hunt entry fee is $25 with an 8:00 p.m. entry deadline.
Saturday, September 9, 2017, the Bench Show is $20 with a 1:00 p.m. deadline and the Nite Hunt entry fee is $25 with an 8:00 p.m. entry deadline.
