The Dogwood Chapter 991 of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Associates of The VVA (AVVA) will hold the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening, June 11th starting at 6:00 at the DAV/VVA Hall on Gardner Drive.
This meeting will feature the drawing for the winners of the two weapons from the first donation campaign. Dinner will feature an Hawaiian food theme.
All veterans and family are welcome.
The Hall is located at 927 Gardner Drive in Palestine – behind the SH-155 North Gateway truck stop and Mattern Tire Co.
The Palestine Dogwoods Chapter 991 of the VVA primarily serves Vietnam Veterans from Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Houston, Freestone, Leon and Limestone Counties.

The Pineywoods Home Health Care Services, local health care organizations, and Veterans Service Officer (VSO) personnel will sponsor a free luncheon for veterans at noon on Friday, June 14th. It will be held in the DAV/VVA Hall at 927 Gardner Drive, Palestine.
In addition to a good meal, a qualified Veterans Service Officer and the Health Care representatives will provide information and answer questions on the new Veteran Community Care programs being initiated by the VA under the MISSION Act of 2018. These programs will have impacts on veterans care here in East Texas.
The DAV/VVA Hall is located behind the Mattern Tire Co. on North SH-155 in Palestine.
Pineywoods Home Health Care has extended the invitation to ALL veterans and veteran’s family members. Even if you are only concerned about Veteran issues, you are welcome.
The event is sponsored by Pineywoods, Legacy at Town Creek nursing facility, Heart-to-Heart Hospice, and Dogwoods Trails Assisted Living Facility. It is hosted by the Palestine Chapters of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and the Disabled America Veterans (DAV).
