Ms. Goldie Hill, volunteer at the Butler Senior Center, was recognized as the 2018 Runner UP for her service at the RSVP Recognition 2018 event held Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Waco.

RSVP Senior Corps is a national volunteer network for persons 55-years-of-age or older who use their skill set and talents to serve their communities with volunteer activities.

Ms. Hill has volunteered at the Butler Senior Center for more than two years.

As a registered nurse, she continues to provide indispensable services for those who need medical attention. Her loving nature and dedication to help others has her coming back to give aid to any who call.

Not only does she help take vital signs, assist with oxygen administration, and blood sugar monitoring at the center, she often makes home visits to help those confined in their homes.

In addition, she often teaches staff how to perform tasks at the senior center such as dressing wounds and taking vital signs.

Ms. Hill embodies what it means to be a community volunteer. Her relentless dedication not only helps others stay healthy but also touches countless hearts.
