Join Voices for Children this Friday, June 21 at the Leon County Courthouse at 12:30 pm as ten volunteers will graduate to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) volunteers for abused and neglected children in Leon, Limestone and Freestone counties.  A reception will follow.

Voices for Children is currently appointed to 242 children in CPS custody in the Brazos Valley. This means that every volunteer is making a direct impact in the life of a child in their local community. AJ Renold, Executive Director, had this to say regarding the newest class, “Voices for Children is extremely proud of our newest class of advocates. The role they play in the child welfare system is a tremendous responsibility. We ask that our volunteers protect the well-being of abused and neglected children and speak up for the best interest of each child in court. We are a stronger community because of our CASA volunteers.”

Voices for Children began serving the Brazos Valley in 2001 when it graduated its first class of 4 advocates. Since then, Voices for Children continues to grow to reflect the current needs of abused and neglected children in the area. As a non-profit, Voices for Children is dependent on volunteers, donors and grant funds to provide this service to the community.
