Time is drawing near for the 25TH ANNUAL SHOW OF WHEELS event.

Come out and enjoy classic cars, trucks and motorcycles on the Freestone County Courthouse Square on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Presented by the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, this two-day event features over 40 judged classes and numerous specialty awards.

Register early for only $20 per vehicle. After September 1st, cost will be $25.

Entries will be parked around the Courthouse Square on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for event goers. There will be food, vendors, cold drinks, clean restrooms, and plenty of shade.

Also displaying their best will be members of the Bi-Stone Antique Tractor Club.

For those in town on Friday, there is a returning event especially for kids: KIDS STYLE BICYCLE CRUISE!

Decorate your bikes and join us for some fun at the Freestone County Courthouse Square on Friday evening, September 8th.

Registration starts at 5:30 p.m.; Parade starts at 6:00 p.m.

Hot dogs, chips, drink, and popcorn with be available (first come, first served) while enjoying music and face painting.

Prizes will be awarded for Best In Show.

For anyone wishing to cruise through town, meet at the Courthouse Square at 6:30 p.m. to Cruise the Drag.

In coordination with the Show of Wheels event, the LADIES POKER STROLL will be held Saturday, September 9th.

Shop local retailers for sales and a chance to win some prizes.

Fairfield’s CITY-WIDE GARAGE SALE will also be taking place on Saturday, September 9th. Look for the map that week in the Freestone County Times newspaper.

Cost is $10 to get your location on the map. Stop by the Chamber office at 900 W. Commerce St. Or, give them a call at 903-389-5792.

Deadline is Monday, August 28th at 4:00 p.m. to get on this year’s Garage Sale Map.

Be prepared to set up on the square by 8:00 a.m. (if you arrive later, roads will be blocked to pull in and unload).
