Veteran Partners of Texas will present the grand opening of the Bobby Lonon Peer Support Center, taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 14 at 972 FM 1365 in Mexia, Texas.
Veteran Partners of Texas is proud to expand its veteran resource services in Mexia. After a short ceremony introducing the VPT team and the organization’s history, a Vietnam Veteran 50th Commemorative Program featuring guest speakers will start at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are available now until the day of the opening. They are $5 each or six tickets for $20. There will be select items to make donations on as well as a raffle for a crocheted afghan U.S. flag.
This center is dedicated to assisting veterans and their families by providing a safe, comfortable environment with veteran peers, peer groups and one-on-one peer support. Volunteers will offer help securing and filling out forms, putting together claims documentation and connecting with local Veteran Service Officers.
