“I love doing this! It’s so much fun,” says life-long resident of Freestone County Miss Dorothy Parker about her 20 years working for the Freestone County Fair.
She began her service with the Fair Association as security, and over the years, has served in the capacity of janitorial and front gate as well. Currently, she runs the front gate and supervises five female employees.
“I really do enjoy doing this each year because I get to meet new people, talk to everyone, and watch all the children have such a great time,” she explains.
“I really appreciate the fair board, my girls, and I especially appreciate Patricia Robinson, who is a great friend,” she continues. “Mrs. Robinson has always been very good to me.”
She concludes, with a smile, “God willing, I’ll be back next year doing the same!”
