This year, help to brighten up someone’s life in either of the Fairfield, Teague, Mexia or Groesbeck nursing homes by joining in on the Days of Giving.

As most everyone knows, COVID-19 has made 2020 a difficult year for everyone, but our senior citizens have seen an even more difficult year by having the nursing homes fully locked down.

This year, Lisa Underhill and The Nursing Home Ministry are having the Days of Giving.

It is simple and easy to take part in, starting on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 as newspapers go to the stand, pick one of any of the types of gifts and take that gift to any of the drop off locations.

Items that can be dropped off are:

–On the 1st day of Giving (Christmas Cards)

–On the 2nd day of Giving (Greeting Cards) Cards residents can send to family members

–On the 3rd day of Giving (Puzzle Books)

–On the 4th day of Giving (Socks)

–On the 5th day of Giving (Toiletries)

–On the 6th day of Giving (Cards/Games)

–On the 7th day of Giving (Stationary)

–On the 8th day of Giving (Puzzles)

–On the 9th day of Giving (any Christmas themed item)

–On the 10th day of Giving (Yarn)

–On the 11th day of Giving (Paints for Painters)

–On the 12th day of Giving (Coloring Books)

Keep on dropping items off up until Monday, December 14, 2020, the Ministry will begin to start making deliveries after that time.

Another way to donate is mail a donation to the post office at: Fairfield Post Office C/O Lisa Underhill Nursing Home Ministry 320 E Commerce St, Fairfield, TX 75840.

That is an exceptional way of staying completely safe from COVID-19, yet still be able to donate.

Thank you to Lisa and the Nursing Home Ministry for finding a way to help us remember the joy of giving and combining that with brightening our senior citizens lives.
