National Weather Service had a free severe weather training session, Monday, January 13, 2020.
The ‘Times’ attended to learn more about spotting severe weather, and how to best handle and report what is scene.
Various storm topics are covered including but not limited to; tornados, straight line winds, hail, and floods.
The SKYWARN program teaches everyone who attends the class how to become a trained storm spotter.
No one needs to register for a class, there is no fee, and you can even attend on in a different county if you are interested.

Attendees may receive a certificate showing they are trained to spot storms, and other bad weather situations.
