The Region 3 Academic UIL Meet was held this past Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Blinn College in Brenham. Fairfield High School finished 5th overall in the region.
Accounting: Placed 5th as a team and Karley Thomassen was the high individual for Fairfield and other team members are Avie Robinson, Abril Ocampo and Jake White.
Computer Applications: 2nd place, Preston Scott and 3rd place Eashan Kalyanji, both Preston and Eashan qualified for state.
Computer Science: Nathan Dunlap is the Regional Champion in Written Computer Science, and 5th place in Written Computer Science is Jeremy Kilkenny. The Computer Science team consisting of Nathan Dunlap, Jeremy Kilkenny, Carolina Limones and Cameron Cockerell are the Region Computer Science Team Champions and will be competing at state.
Literary Criticism: Finished 2nd as a team, the high individual for Fairfield was Rachel Reyes who finished 4th and is a state alternate. Other team members are Alyson Sanchez, Lydia Morgan and Madysen Farris.
Mathematics: Fairfield placed 4th as a team. Nathan Dunlap is the Region Champion in Mathematics and will be advancing to state. Other team members include: Addie Cox, Lydia Morgan and Avery Thaler
Science: Jonathan Thomas finished 3rd in Science and is advancing to the state meet.
Spelling: Placed 5th as a team. Jeremy Kilkenny was the top individual for Fairfield. Other team members include: Austin Smith, Elizabeth Rath and Alyssa Markham.
The State Meet will be held at the University of Texas on May 6th & 7th.
