The results are in for this year’s Texas Better Newspaper Contest.
Freestone County Times earned two Third Place awards in their division.
Earning Third Place in advertising design is former assistant editor, Megan Hempel. Thankfully, she passed on a few tricks of the trade before moving on to the “big city” newspaper in Corsicana.
Contributing to a Third Place win in news photography is Publisher Scott W. Marsters, Editor Karen E. Leidy, Natalia V. Marsters, and Megan Hempel.
