On behalf of Lisa Underhill and the Nursing Home Ministry:
The Nursing Home Ministry was able to help many people living in nursing homes and other elderly residents living at home.
One of the biggest forms of help is making sure that no elderly person is turned away because of an inability to pay for his or her food at the grocery store.
Another important part of the Ministry is doing One-on-Ones, time spent visiting with one person living in the nursing home.
The requirements to allow someone to have a One-on-One are rather strict, and require family’s permission.
In fact, you can request Lisa to come visit a loved one living in a nursing home, even when they are first placed in the home.
The support the community gives the Nursing Home Ministry is a huge help if the smile Lisa gave while proudly displaying all the gift cards that were donated.
Next Christmas season will see the return of Christmas in the Park and The 12 Days of Christmas, both benefit the Nursing Home Ministry.
Ms. Underhill is committed to her mission, it is her passion, and she has no plans of giving up.
You can find Lisa working her job at Brookshire Brothers if you ever have any questions, wish to see about her visiting with a loved one, or want to make a donation.
