The Texas Tribune will host a free, open-to-the-public event — A Conversation with Beto O’Rourke, Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate — at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at the McLennan Community College in Waco.
Beto O’Rourke of El Paso has represented U.S. House District 16 since he was elected in 2012. He sits on the House Armed Services and Veterans’ Affairs committees. Previously, O’Rourke served on the El Paso City Council for six years.
He is a co-founded of Stanton Street Technology. On March 31, 2017, O’Rourke announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat held by Republican incumbent Ted Cruz in the 2018 U.S. federal midterm election.
A lunch will be provided. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A session.
