Let’s Show Some Love to One of Our Own!
As many of our readers may have heard, Texas DPS Officer Curtis Putz was severely injured while investigating a vehicle crash on Interstate 45 near mile marker 220 in Navarro County while on duty last week.
According to an update by the Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association, Trooper Putz was taken to a Dallas area hospital where he has undergone multiple surgical procedures on his legs, hip and arms. The family reported that he has been moved to a regular hospital room, and even sat up in bed on Monday.
While Officer Putz continues to improve daily, he is expected to have a long recovery ahead.
To assist Trooper Putz and his family, the folks at Texas 99.1 KNES radio are dedicating 100% of all ticket sales to them for the upcoming Texas 99 Love Fest Listener Appreciation Concert, set for February 18, 2023 at The Cowboy Western Club in Mexia, Texas.
“Let’s make this the BIGGEST EVER with the biggest attendance on record,” they said.
Also during the concert will be a silent auction with all proceeds going to the Putz Family.
Tickets are available at www.Texas99.com/eventtickets
“For those blessed enough to know this family, you know they are the most kind, helpful, and generous people there are around,” said the KNES folks. “It’s now our time to help them!”
