Sissy Shaver of Fairfield, Texas had a sudden spinal stroke leaving her paralyzed from the waist down on the evening of March 23, 2020.
She is currently at Baylor Scott and White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, undergoing an inpatient rehabilitation program.
From what we know, she has suffered severe damage on her T11 vertebrae due to a blood clot, which caused the spinal stroke.
Spinal strokes are very rare, and account for less than 1% of all strokes.
We are praying and believing in a fully recovery in hopes she will be able to walk again.
