UPDATE: Last week’s head-on collision
The driver of the Honda is no longer in critical condition and is expected to recover. The investigation is still open and active.
On Sunday, January 20, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a crash on US-84 near CR-601, northeast of Teague. A Teague patrol unit traveling eastbound and a Honda CRV traveling westbound were involved in a head-on collision. The driver of the Honda was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple in critical condition. The Teague officer was treated and released. The investigation is active and ongoing.
