Teague Police responded to a reported shooting around 1 a.m. Monday morning in the 500 block of S. 5th Ave.
Initial reports indicated no one was injured from the shooting. Teague Police and Freestone County Deputies began investigating the incident.
A second call was received approximately 30 minutes later, informing officers of a gunshot victim at Freestone Medical Center. The investigation showed this individual, and another with them, were involved in this incident.
Palestine Police Department stopped a suspect vehicle approximately 3 a.m. and recovered potential evidence related with TPD’s case.
According to police, there is no threat to the general public as this is an isolated incident related with a recent break up between a couple.
The matter remains under investigation.
