Emaja Holmes, 20, of Teague, was arrested and booked into Limestone County Jail for Murder and a Motion to Revoke Probation Warrant on Monday, January 27, 2025.
That morning at around 11:19 a.m., officers of the Mexia Police Department responded to 705 East Liberty in Mexia to attempt apprehension of Holmes after a warrant was issued in an offence that occurred January 18, 2025, inside Mexia city limits which resulted in the death of a Mexia resident.
When officers made contact with Holmes, they were able to take him into custody without incident.
