Teague Parkfest is just around the corner, and you don’t want to miss it!
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, and offers a wide variety of events to participate in.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. there will be a 5K Run. Registration fee is $15 per person. The top three runners in each category will be awarded a prize. Dress in a Halloween Costume to be entered into the Best Costume category.
At 9:00 a.m., Vendors selling food, crafts, games, gift items, and more will open, and the Car & Bike Show will be ready for viewing. To register as a vendor or for the car & bike show, there is a $25 fee and registration/check-in is at 8:30 a.m.
Also, at 9:00 a.m., there will be a Volleyball Tourney. This event will have co-ed 5-person teams playing on an outdoor grass field.
Registration fee is $80 per team, with proceeds going to scholarships and Teague Athletics. Call 903-390-3257 to sign up.
Want to compete for best BBQ? There will be a BBQ Cookoff, beginning Friday into Saturday. Cost is $200 per team. Registration meeting will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. under the pavilion. Categories include Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, Cook’s Choice, and Jackpot Beans. Buckles will be awarded in each category and to overall winners.
At 11:00 a.m., kids aged 12 and under, can participate in a Costume Contest. There will also be a Pet Category. Awards will be given in each category.
Also, there will be at Raffle at this event, where you could have a chance to win a patio set, at $100 gift card to Brookshire Brothers, a cooler, and more. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100.

To round out the evening, Freestone County 4-H is hosting a Movie in the Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to the Teague City Park to enjoy the film about the friendly ghost.
